We will meet Isabella of France (The She-Wolf), Elizabeth Bathory (Countess Dracula), Catherine de Medici (The Serpent Queen), “pretty, witty Nell” Gwyn, and Lola Montez (“of dubious and doubtful memory”). As for Livia Augusta, it could just be that Robert Graves has a lot to answer for…!
