Across the world, cities and cultures have risen and fallen for millennia. Sometimes the material remains of those civilizations have remained visible to later generations, influencing, inspiring, and enriching a steady stream of tourists, scholars, and treasure-hunters. But in a few places, cities, monuments, and entire communities have simply vanished. Sometimes they left behind a name, but in other cases, there is scarcely a single clue to their existence.
Join us as we explore lost worlds and vanished lives, from the Fayum of Egypt to the jungles of Guatemala, and from the tombs of mighty Ur to the temples of ancient Paestum.
7 weeks, Friday 12 May - Friday 30 June (incl., with half-term break on 2 June).
