This thematically led course considers key examples of arts and culture in the 17th century. Taking as a connecting theme the extravagantly ornate styles of the Baroque period, we will explore Europe's cultural landscape. Sessions will include The Dutch Republic in the Age of Rembrandt, Caravaggio's Italy, and The Spain of Cervantes.

10 weeks, Friday 25 September – Friday 3 December (incl., with half-term break on 29 October)

Please note that this is a WEA course, and can only be booked directly with the WEA. For further details and booking, please follow this link.
